Elevenses, a traditional short break for light refreshments with specialty coffees, teas, savory food, and craft beverages, is a European custom born in the early 1800s. It’s also the name of our artisanal bakery and cafe, offering freshly made creations using locally-sourced goods from farmers and sold at the Union Square Greenmarket. The seasonal menu is inspired by French, Greek, and Scandinavia cultures.
Our welcoming boutique space honors the custom we’re named for in an inclusive and welcoming environment. We also commit to environmentally friendly practices by using no fossil fuels whatsoever on our premises! Come on in for coffee or tea, savor a bite to eat, and enjoy our hospitality. Georgia Koutsoupakis is a talented and creative young culinary artist and baker born and raised in Astoria, who brings a passionate spirit and detail-oriented approach to every aspect of her business. Georgia has extreme pride in every artisanal item she creates, as well as a desire to provide a unique and amazing experience that welcomes all.
With a gift for creating, Elevenses is the culmination of a desire to provide delicious small dishes and craft beverages and café items, in an eco-friendly setting.
