At Urban Vegan Roots, we offer flavorful takes on international vegan food in a fun and welcoming environment. As a sister restaurant to NYC’s enduringly popular Urban Vegan Kitchen, you’ll find many of the same crowd-pleasing items on our menu—like our Chick Un and Waffles, Korean Wings, and Homemade Vegan Burger—plus our decadent Vegan Pizza offerings and other original creations!

With a small stage for live music and special events, our space at WAM is ideal for everything from family outings to community gatherings and intimate date nights. Harkening back to NYC’s restaurant culture in the 1920s and ‘30s, this location represents a celebration of our city’s diverse history while offering healthy and delicious food made with heaping portions of love.

The Urban Vegan Kitchen Collective

The Urban Vegan Kitchen Collective

A diverse group with roots in Ecuadorian, Brazilian, Dominican, Jamaican, and African-American culture, the UVKC infuses elements of their individual cultural backgrounds into a menu rooted in classic American flavors. These influences add that extra ingredient, making our vegan menu authentic and unique.

The Urban Vegan Kitchen Collective was founded by David Tianga, who’s family came from Ecuador. His mission was to introduce and celebrate the vegan format in a fun and amazing culinary environment that celebrates foods and traditions from all over the world. His flagship location started on carmine street and now he has expanded back to his nyc origins in Queens.
